What I want for 2012

I want to be a better mother...more passionate about mothering.
I want to be a more supportive wife.
I want to smile more. I mean really smile.
I want to write/journal more.
I want to read more.
I want to yell less.
I want this blog to be a part of my family's history, so my posterity will know that we were here and what we were all about.
I want to love living more.
I want my photography to be more about people and less about perfection.
I want to create.
I want to think more about others and less about myself.
I want my photography to be about real life.
I want to help others.
I want to learn more about myself and my life's mission.
I want to remember that I only have one chance at this earth life. What am I doing with it?
I want to learn more about my ancestors. They are the reason I am here.
I want to let go of fear. Fear of failure. Fear of not being perfect. Fear of what others think of me. Fear of not having enough or being enough.
I want to be the kind of mother I would want to have. The kind of mother I do have.
I want to care more about people and less about things.
I want to document my kids being them. Because "them" is who I want to remember.
I want to capture my children in motion. Video. It is priceless.
I want to worry less and live more.
I want to think more about things I have control over and less about things I don't.
I want to allow my children to make choices. That's one reason they're here on earth.
I want to share my faith with others.
I want to be more aware that my children are watching me.
I want the scriptures to be a part of me.
I want to recognize God's hand in my life everyday.
I want to be more grateful. Much more grateful.
I want to stop comparing myself to others. It's exhausting.
I want to discover who I really am.
I want to appreciate people more, and more importantly, I want to tell them.
I want to make a difference.
I want to procrastinate less. (It has to do with perfectionism you know:))
I want to move my feet.
I want to spend less time on the internet and more time with my kids.
I want to hug my kids more.
I want to laugh more. I mean really laugh.
I want to to stretch myself with my photography.
I want to be passionate about photography, but not too passionate.
I want balance. I believe the only true way to find balance is to put God first in my life. After that, everything else falls into place.
I want to help inspire people.
I want to SIMPLIFY my life. Less is more.
I want to be positive. It is my blood type (B+) :)
I want to choose Happiness.
I want to put off the natural man.
I want to plan my life more. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
I want to change.

Wanting is the easy part. Now I need to go and do:).

Life is good. I sure am grateful for this angel Heavenly Father sent to us. This will be the first post of my grateful project.

Studio Session Details

So I finally got my studio session details figured out. You can view them by clicking on the price and session details link at the bottom of my blog. Most of my photo sessions will be held Wednesday or Saturday mornings. I will leave you with this little cutie!!

I am so excited about this! I have been working really hard on revamping my studio! I'm going to be focusing on kids and babies in my studio and have been going to town on props, floors, and backdrops! Here are a couple of shoots to show you some of my set ups. I will post the photo session details soon.

Well it looks like it's been about 3 1/2 months since I have posted. I'm excited to get going again. I am doing a joy school with some ladies in the neighborhood. Aren't they the cutest!

They have the cutest stuff!! They are in Kaysville. You can check them out online at cuddlehaven.com. This cute hat my little one is wearing is from there, and they also sell different sizes of pettiskirts. The one in the picture is not from there, but they have some like it. They even have little tiny pettiskirts for smaller babies. The hats on the little boys in the post just below are from there. They also sell cute ties like the ones they are wearing. If you are looking for Andee Lew shirts (little girl at the bottom of the last post is wearing a black one) they have 'em! The hair flower the little girl is wearing on the last post also came from Cuddle Haven. They have a bunch of different kinds. They have the cutest furniture and cribs sets too! Oh, and they have those crocheted headband things that everyone is wearing for little ones. Anyway, check them out!

Cuddle Haven sells this cute dress....and once again the hair flower. I love the one where she is laughing......:)

And check out this hair flower from there also....I loved the black and white picture too....so I had to post them both...

My friend and I were looking over clothes to put together for this shoot and she showed me this dress in her baby's closet. I was freaking out at how cute and antique looking it was. She told me her mom made it for her when she was a baby. Ahhh....her mom has got some serious talent! I am so in love with it!! Just look at the time that must have gone into it :)!

Next up is handsome big brother.....just look at this little man........

So, I broke out the sewing machine again for this skirt. Get this......I made it out of a shirt I bought for myself that I ended up not diggin' too much. I just cut off the bottom and sewed in an elastic. Then I cut and sewed a piece for her hair. I'm loving it! I'm starting to look at my old clothes in a different way :)! I know, I'm such a nerd!

So, it's been a month since I posted! Things are always crazy around here! My computer was getting fixed and I have been very excited to upload all of the pictures I have taken. Since my last post I have done 2 sessions with my baby, 1 with my oldest and 1 with my daughter in her baptism dress. I also was able to have our family pictures taken!! So excited about them. I have also taken up sewing a bit! I never thought I would like to sew!! EVER! Hopefully I'll have more pictures to share. Here's a peek of this session with my cute baby...Love it! I sold my d200 and bought a d90 because I have been really wanting to get into video!! I tried out some video during this shoot of my baby, so I may be sharing a little production.... The video definately is going to take some getting used to, but I love the depth of field I can get with my lenses. It's taken a little to get adjusted to a new camera too. I was used to my other one, but I think it will be awesome to have the video.

I could stare at this one all day.......this is totally my Cade. It's my favorite expression of the whole shoot.... :)

I am so excited to have some pictures of my Cade. I decided to try some different things this time than I usually do, and I love how they turned out. I am wanting to start getting more pictures that are "real" of my kids and not so posed. I want to remember all of their faces and just capture them being goofy. My Cade really is a character!
