Realness

In yesterday's post I wrote that one of the things I wanted for 2012 is for my photography to be more about people and less about perfection. Real. Not forced or perfectly posed. Not perfectly post processed. Realness is kind of my photography theme for this year. I just feel like I have spend so much time forcing smiles on my kids faces and trying to get the kids to do what I want them to do. I'm finally realizing that it is what the kids want to do for the pictures that I want to remember. I want to remember how they were. I want to remember the day to day things we did. I want that to be my new perfect. I'm exhausted with the old perfect:). These images are such good examples. My room. Yes. The bed is usually not made. I know, I need to be better at that, but it's real. The bassinet beside my bed is no longer there because she's growing up....too fast. My little one loves her baby sister. I love these images. They make me happy.
